PRESS RELEASE 14/05/2018
On May 14th, over 300 precious items from the last century will be auctioned by Faraone Casa d’Aste.

A selection of over 300 pieces among jewelry and watches of the XX century, all of excellent craftmanship, is the captivating proposal by Faraone Casa d’Aste, for the first of two annual auction appointments, scheduled for May 14 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan .
A careful choice of high-end pieces of iconic brands and not, for this reason no less prestigious and worthless, will be auctioned in front of dealers, collectors and individuals.
An important number of lots and always in constant growth, compared to the previous appointments held by Faraone Casa d’Aste, a number that largely exceeds the 240 lots of November and 160 of May 2017, testifying the intention of the auction house tp provide with a wider choice the customers, who have also grown in number.
In the catalogue among the many rings, two are under the spotlight
the first one a 9ct cushion cut kasmir sapphire surrounded by diamonds; the second one 13ct Colombian emerald wrapped in baguette-cut diamonds.
Amongst the catalogue’s top lots a platinum brooch signed MONTURE CARTIER with a 3,10ct colombian emerald placed in the middle of a game of platinum bands covered with 8.20ct of old cut and baguette cut diamonds.
Completing the line up of jewelery at auction, a Parure Van Cleef & Arpels, consisting of a ring and earrings in platinum with 14ct of brilliant cut diamonds and 15ct of round rubies, as well as a platinum bracelet with 5 saphhires weighing 22ct overall surrounded by 22ct of baguette and brillant cut diamonds.
Following the success, of last November’s edition, for the number of pieces sold of “haute horlogerie”, the Milanese auction house decides to increase the number of watches placed under the hammer to more than 50, among which a stainless steel Rolex Daytona Patrizzi ref 16520 caliber 4030, with oyster case and bracelet, highly desired by collectors for the unique color variation of the three counters on the dial, due to the silver’s natural oxidation, which make it particularly sought after.
In addition to a series of desirable Rolex watches, an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph ref. 25770ST in stainless steel and a rare Santos Dumont Louis Cartier Ultra-Thin enrich the offer even more. Faraone Casa d’Aste also offers a collection of 22 pairs of cufflinks from the most varied and fanciful designs and 5 free diamonds weighing about 1.40ct each and HVVS1.
